Cardio Kickboxing
Monday, Wednesday, Friday 6:00 am - 6:50 am
This class includes cardio activity associated with running, punching and kicking. Instruction is given for receiving the greatest benefit and using the proper form for injury free exercise. Punching bags, weights, and jump ropes are used. Music is upbeat and promotes mental stimulation toward greater output of energy. Group participation and support also provides necessary motivation toward continued participation. Elements of fitness are addressed in various manners. These include flexibility, balance, self-confidence, personal development, spirituality, strength building, breath control and nutrition.
Core Strength and Weight Training
Tuesday, Thursday 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
This class affords each student more individual instruction and encouragement. Each student is challenged through running and rapid movement along with lifting weights. This has proven to be the secret of weight loss and the building of bone density. Another portion of the class is dedicated to core physical fitness, which involves push-ups, bench press and abdominal work. Exercise intensity increases as students strengthen. Other aspects will include balance, flexibility, movement, and grace; taught through a variety of exercise forms and stretching.
Martial Arts Classes
Adults and Teens Thursday 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm
Many martial arts styles are represented in this unique environment. Karate and Jujitsu are the primary constituents. The level of exercise is advanced beyond our other classes, while the instruction is also at a much higher level. This class offers fast moving warm up with deep stretching to allow for the intense activity to follow. Intense activity includes rolls, falls, throws, sparing and grappling which are taught in this class. The Jujitsu instruction includes small circle defense techniques developed by internationally acclaimed Jujitsu master, Professor Wally Jay.
